Last week’s “Chart of the Week” showed the results of a survey that indicated how citizens with different political party affiliations (Republican, Democrat, Independent) answered a Gallop poll on the question of government’s role in healthcare. The results were not surprising. Republicans don’t see healthcare as government’s responsibility; Democrats do.
This week’s chart shows the results without regard to political affiliation. When Gallop asked citizens this question, the clear majority answered that healthcare is outside the realm of government’s responsibility.
There are so many other questions that could be asked to educate our politicians about the will of the people. But that doesn’t seem to be something that they are concerned about. Otherwise, why would the Affordable Care Act have passed?
What do you think about this survey? What other questions would you ask?
