Dennis Miller interviews Mark David Henderson on The Dennis Miller Radio Show. You may have seen it already, but The Dennis Miller Show this week! (Actually, it was recorded, so I have a pretty good idea what we’re “going to talk about.”)
Before I went on the show, I was anticipating…
And, I’m a little embarrassed to say that I was SO NERVOUS! I have been interviewed several times over the last few weeks, so it’s not that it was a foreign experience, but… I am a huge fan, and it was a blast. Not only am I a DMZ (Dennis Miller Zone) fan, I actually thought that I might be skewered. I mean, he’s a smart guy and few people in the media have positive things to say about Ayn Rand or Christianity. When you put those two world views side-by-side, almost everyone has a nasty quip on the tip of their tongue.
But no! Dennis Miller came through. Now, I don’t think he wants me to give away exactly where he stands (you’ll have to tune in). But I will say that we don’t agree on everything and he’s upfront about that. Nice guy, funny, smart, and down-to-earth, just the way I like ’em. Look for a station and air time in your area.
We talked about Ayn Rand, her perspective on Christianity, and Dennis’s own idea for a play portraying a conversation between Ayn Rand and Barak Obama over cocktails. He was a gracious host, ever lightening the mood (I tend to be pretty serious and he’s so good at handling that for listeners to keep it upbeat.
Honestly. It’s hard to tell these guys apart, right? After hearing the interview, where do you think Dennis Miller stands on the values that both world views hold deeply?
