Thanks to Tom Hall for the heads up on an interview with Paul Johansson, director of the upcoming movie version of Atlas Shrugged, Part 1. I haven’t done my due diligence on all of the press that the movie is getting. As I said, I did visit the set, and I did speak with Paul Johansson about a few interesting points. Regarding the philosophy, I think there was really only a couple of people on the set that understand Ayn Rand‘s philosophy, and fewer that understand the ramifications.
But, I was very impressed with the Johansson as a director, and I know the producer, John Aglialoro, gets it. I am posting the link to the interview with LFM: The Voice of Freedom in Movies & Pop Culture, and a picture of the director in that interview. The set is from the scene at the Havana Club (filmed at the Biltmore in LA), where Jim Taggart is plotting with his cronies.
